Oh my God ! Has this blog totally died? What’s happening here? – Asks one confused blog reader.

No it hasn’t died! I haven’t died! Kurt hasn’t died! We’re alive and kicking but ever since I have started video blogging I don’t really write many entries here which is a shame I suppose but video blogging is so much fun and actually I have contemplated to stop blogging the traditional way and just doing videos instead. I haven’t made the final decision yet but I thought I owed it to all of you to give an explanation of why this blog is so silent recently.

If you all want to keep up with what I’m doing, here are a few links where I am what’s more active:

My YouTube channel: http://youtube.com/user/gttlrs

My Facebook account: http://facebook.com/GitteGorzelakIsmail

My twitter: http://twitter.com/sleightofblog

I have not decided to totally abandon the blog – yet – so please do keep coming back now and then.

I’m back. Have spent time with my precious son :-)

The leaves are falling off the trees and my mood is really, truly reflecting the time of year. Time to get out the bright lamp and the great video camera I have..oh wait, I have none.

Great.

How to animate your portrait for free

leave a comment »

In my extreme boredom and severe illness I have been sitting here doing absolutely nothing for a couple of hours. Well, that’s not entirely true. I have been sneezing, coughing and checking out cool web tools.

I discovered this one which is kinda fun, I suppose – if you are into animation and cool effects.

Just watch the magic:

Go to http://labs.mppark.jp/hige/  and press the Change button, then upload your own portrait image to have some fun! Just click on the images that fly by to add the effect.

Now red

leave a comment »

Here’s the story. I was at the supermarket and had to pick between all the colors on the shelf. Now, I always tend to choose a color that doesn’t ever show – it’s honestly like there is no difference at all when I’ve dyed my hair. So today I figured I’d go all out and make a HUGE change.

So I dyed it red. It’s called Hot Red.. LOL. I am now scaring myself every time I pass a mirror – I get this instant urge to call the fire department – but I suppose I will get used to it. Bring on all your red hair jokes..come on, I am waiting..

Point the getaway car to Saskatchewan

leave a comment »

In case I ever rob a bank, I have my hide out planned.

I have never been in Saskatchewan but I have picked this location in case I ever rob a bank and need a place to hide out. There is just no way I would ever get away with a bank robbery and I would be caught real fast. I just hope that I would be able to hide out a few hours in Saskatchewan before the police are on my trail.

Then I would be taken handcuffed past a ton of reporters who would all have to say “Saskatchewan” a LOT of times. It would be worth it.

I hope I stumble across cash

Banknotes from all around the World donated by...Image via Wikipedia

I sometimes get a bit tired of turning every single coin I have and having to be so careful about money. I wish I could stumble across a big load of cash but like so many other adults I am finding that money doesn’t grow on trees although trees have branches (little joke there).

Anyway, for a while now I have been trying to think of ways to make an extra income online and it wouldn’t have to be a lot, just a little to make life that bit better :-) I wanna try to monetize our blog and possible attract more readers. Just gotta think creatively but most important: You attract what you think about. I will start giving that theory a test.

What do you think? Please give me your comments. How did you make an income online? Do you have a success story to share? Any suggestions for making a bit of money online?

My preferred writing medium

Keyboard From Stone Age

I gave up on writing by hand when I was 17. I’ve never really liked my handwriting although some people have said it’s nice but I guess that’s me – highly critical of myself :-) I even type out my grocery list, I bet I am the only person with a printed shopping list at the store! I’m pretty fast too.

I could never go back to handwriting; I’d feel totally handicapped.

How about you? What’s your preferred writing medium? nerd
